  After installing this game, I found that whenever I run it, the game just hangs on startup. I thought it might be because I am using a 64 bit OS so I tried installing it on a 32 bit copy of windows... same problem. Then I tried installing it on a 32 copy of JAPANESE windows... same problem.

  Any ideas?

    It works for me with Microsoft Applocale on Win7 ultimate (32-bit) non-Japanese version.
    Didn't you try Applocale?
